Squid: Bringing Absurdism into Punk music


Squid’s erratic and direct sound utilises Absurdist ideas to help convey the madness that is living in the world of today. In this video, I examine how their approach to punk is a new take compared to the styles that we are perhaps more used to, and explore how the band’s music mimics the absurdist art of Michael Cheval.
