‘Project X’ is not just a teen party movie.

While it’s easy to see Project X as nothing more than misognynistic, excessive movie trash, my reading of it went a lot deeper than that. In this video I explore how it explores the management of teenhood by society, its showcasing of the male gaze in movies and how it glorifies the American High School Experience.

I also explore it’s frankly gob-smacking ending, and the way in which it represents the consequences of American society’s margnialising and exporting of violence. Fun times!
